Stupidity Amoung Us PT1
[color=green][/color] OK, here's post #1 I'm driving along a semi-residential rd, 5 lanes wide, and top a hill to see a semi from the local Community College trvelling slowly. I can tell it is a new driver, and flash back to when I was new... you know, scared. I am only a class B but had a "learner's permit" for a while, so I know a tractor-trailer is more scary. So, I slow down and leave him plenty of room. As the side lane closes, I see a car from behind start to pass, but no room and gets back behind me to take the 90 L turn and the road widens out again, but is still mostly considered 2 lane. The car behind tries to come around my right side again, to see a line of cars parked at the curb. OK, so I might have moved to that side to let her know that wasn't too cool, and she again got behind me. We drove on, I could see the driver half of her (I found out later it was a "she") vehicle in my mirror and was keeping an eye on her for something stupid. So, we come around a curve in the road and traffic is coming, but I still keep an eye. We make it almost to the intersection ( this is about a half mile journey or a lil more) and I see her move to the right with her signal on, the semi has moved to that side in front of me, and I am heading for the store on the same corner for a Pepsi, so I signal and slide over and turn into the store. She follows and I see her park before I do. When I'm walking up to go in, she's walking toward me with a purpose, leaning towards my name tag. So I point to it and say my name, contiuing into the store as she bellies up to me saying something about me walking like I "ain't done nuthin wrong", which, as far as I know, I didn't. But she was being very aggressive, and getting WAY too close. I was not to be intimidated, though, even tho i got the distinct feeling she WANTED a knock-down, drag-out confrontation, and I was the one she picked to have it with. I'm not a big guy, but I'm not exactly small, either. But I AM a peacable person, I do not fight. Especially with a female, no matter how "butch" she may feel or act. She followed closely to me as I got my Pepsi and went to pay, the whole time talking to my dispatcher and running me down, assumingly trying to rile me. I heard her say something about me making her hit a curb, which I did not witness, and I said she had hit no curb. After I went back out, still pretty much ignoring her, and her still pretty much tailing me and verbally abusing me to my dispatcher, she asked for Insurance info. I asked why, and she said into the cell, "He won't give it to me." I told her that's not what I said as I got in my truck, just wanting to be rid of this crazy "person". I called Base on my cell, and tried to find out what was being said, and the Operations Mgr told me to just give her the info, so I did, while she still kept Dispatch on the line and said more condescending things about me, even resorting to the fact (of which I do not deny:^D) that I have a "big nose"(her words). How adult is that? Just because i wouldn't give her the fight she wanted, she starts in on the 3rd grade name calling. I almost cracked up laughing. As she walked away after I had given her the info, I said to her, "You have a nice day, MA'AM!" to which she made some more rude remarks, including telling me to preform sex with no one in particular( F#%* You") , and I could not resist telling her she "wouldn't know how" as I drove away. Don't know if she filed a claim or not, she probly will. I think she saw an opportunity to cover her having hit one before. Or maybe she had just missed her dealer, I don't know. Anyway, If I hear anything else on it, I might put it in... Later!!!
