New Generation Spoiled....

I was taught to work at an early age, my father made me work and was hard on me growing up..At the time I didn't like it, but however, he shaped me into a hard worker..So thank you FATHER for teaching me how to work..The newer generation has no concept of a work ethic..Sure, there are exceptions, but for the most part I've got to admit, the younger generation has no work ethic..They see themselves as all important..A fallacy in itself, nobody is important and can be replaced easily..Not you, nor I, or nobody else..One of the outside drivers told me my nickname.."Speed-demon"..I had no clue of this, but when you have a lot of stuff on your plate you have to be that way..I can't help it its my nature..I get it done..Whether I drive or dispatch I get things done..The newer generation has been so babied its sickening..I'm old school in attitude when MEN where MEN..Got a cut use some tape kind of attitude..I really do hope we have some hard times or else this generation will be the end of us all...VM-out!

Those time outs really do wonders for discipline doesn't it. So many kids never had to work for something they wanted. Just start whining to Mom or Dad. My folks were rich enough to give us anything we wanted but it didn't happen that way. If we didn't have a job to pay for it, we were expected to do work around the house to get it. Get out of line and we paid for it. No time outs back then. We either got our backside tanned or we were chewed out or both.It didn't matter where we were or who was around. So I learned right from wrong real quick and how to work for something I wanted. There was also this thing called respect for others that was instilled in me at a young age.

Hmmm, guess I missed that class that said you have to work and work hard. I am one of those lazy good for nothing types, I guess.

Rdhzrd, ever hear "Pick a switch!" Maybe thats a southern thing where my father is from..I got tanned many many many time..As for you Lennut, well you do have to work hard in life but its better to work smart..VM-out
