A big ball of stress this week, too many truck breakdowns..I had a driver blow a PTO one day and a truck that kept dying the next day..Man PETERBILT should get their act together..My favorite tractor of all time was a 2002 Columbia Freightliner..Man that truck could pull up the hill like nobodies business..Trucks would pass me on the flats then I'd just wave at them when on an incline grade..Man that tractor kicked ass..Other than the cigarette lighter plugs would blow a fuse I never had a problem with that tractor..I rescued a tractor at Santa Nella by swapping it out with another tractor before approaching Pacheco Pass..I didn't want the driver to be stuck halfway up the hill..Man its been one hell of a week..Peterbilt get your act together..You'd think with a tractor with a high resale value you wouldn't have these problems..But, I've got to hold their feet to the fire..I like Petes but lately they've been producing nothing but garbage..Sorry, I hate to say that but its true!!!..So whoever is in quality control needs to be fired!!..Save your reputation Peterbilt!!..Otherwise suffer the consequences of blogs like this..VM-out!!!

Petes are doing like the other trucks. There is a demand for the truck so pump them out asap. When that happens corners are cut. Get the trucks out and worry about problems later. Freightliners did that and the cabs were falling apart. People were having the dash falling apart and landing on the floor while going down the road along with many other things. They also cut corners to get the price down.

One of my main duties is to coordinate repairs with our truck shop and/or Peterbilt dealership..The newer tractors are just having problems they shouldn't have being so new..A main problem with Pete now is that the transmissions are just junk..MAXTOR is CRAP!!!Give me an eaton-fuller anyday!!Plus now with maxtor transmissions are electronic not air based like eaton-fuller..So when you have an electrical problem you can't shift..Maybe I'm just crazy..Can anyone back me up on this?...VM-out!

By the way our purchasers obviously are not truck drivers..Sure double stacks look cool but are not practical..They get in the way of your field of vision on the drivers side..VM-out!

They don't worry so much about the quality of the fleet trucks. Get into a truck for an O/O and see what kind of difference there is in quality.

Oh my mistake..Its a MERITOR, aka piece of SH@T, not a MAXTOR..A Maxtor is a hard drive..I felt like a dummy looking down on the stick and seeing the words MERITOR..VM-out!!
