Was home for the weekend – and heading back out for 2 weeks. I am permanently assigned to my truck so the current cycle I stay on is 2 weeks out and home every other weekend. I am able to bank all additional days and use those for deer hunting, fishing and/or the occasional vacation. However, I don’t recall the last time I went on vacation.
Preplanned to the West Coast: Was happy to get a load going west for a change… A change of scenery and temperature is welcome.
New Hours of Service (HOS) are bound to change things up a bit– this is the first venture west with the new HOS.
Look forward to hearing from other Truckers out there –
Stay Safe

We're headed in the opposite direction. We have two loads going to San Angelo and a little town near Dallas. We loaded today in LA and Redondo Beach. Temps were comfortable- right near 70 degrees. The new HOS didn't affect me much. I'm a solo driver hauler furniture, and I stick to a 24 hour cycle.
