CDL test

Congrats on passing the test. Now the real test will start. Will you have what it takes to be a truck driver. Here are some pointers for you. Never ever have an I know it all attitude. Listen to what other drivers tell you and weed out what is BS. Then don't be afraid to try the ideas that are left. I have about 18 years out here and still learn an occasional trick. Don't be afraid to ask questions or for help sliding tandems or getting backed in someplace. If you know anybody that's been out here for awhile, find out if you can call them when your having a hard time out here and need some moral support. The 1st year is always the hardest and you WILL want to tell the company where they can stick the job and the truck! But no matter how bad things get, stick it out for that year. Then if you want to quit you will have more choices of who to work for.

What else can I say..Rdhzrd already said it..Be humble when dealing with other experienced drivers..Because old road dogs are full of little tricks..And will be more than happy to show you what they know as long as you don't come off as a know it all rookie..I still learn everyday little things here and there..DON'T BREAK YOUR RPM'S..Just a hint..VM-out!

Always help out another driver when you can..Because the golden rule applies to trucking very much..I've been in situations where I needed help and they helped me and I've helped other drivers when they needed my help..VM-out!
