Can't afford to live

Trucking companies won't pay liveable wages

Stop driving for beans...Demand more!

Kind of miss the road and need the experience. Only been doing this for 2 years now but...I don't know how anybody could drive a truck these days. Maybe if you live in a lower cost of living area like Mississippi or Arkansas in a one bedroom apartment for $300 a month and are single. Thirty some cents a mile even at 3000 a week bearly nets you $700 and for a family of 4 with a $1300-$1900 morgauge is impossible. I got companies beating on my door to come work for them but don't pay sh--! I deliver fuel locally and work 10-12 hours a day (home daly), grossing $1200+ a week. I just can't see how any OTR or regional can compete...Well I can, there are some out there who settle for a couple of bucks over minimum wage.
