Does anyone know if an open container citation will keep you from a job? I am having problems. I was parked with a friend at a park and was cited for having an open can of beer even though I was not driving. We were in a car. HELP

You know I don't know but there are companies that will hire anybody. Thats a damn fine question. If I were you I'd call up some trucking companies and anonymously ask if this was a problem. Vm-out!

It shouldn't be a problem. If you were in a parked car, that was not a moving violation. If were pulled over you probably would have been arrested for drunk driving. Chances are some companies won't hire you because they'd be afraid you would be drinking in the truck and that is a major no-no.
