Contact susannespirit: Email: About susannespirit: Biography Susanne Spirit plays a sweet southern blend of Cajun, country and blues, like a fine bottle of corn silk whiskey. Solid traditionalism combined with modern country sounds weaves thru the notes of Susanne’s songs like a mist that circles the smoky mountains of Tennessee. Her tours all over the US and performances in southern California have won her devoted fans, awards, and, as she says, “How great I get to earn a living, speak from my heart, and people listen and enjoy my soul’s words and music”. Susanne’s, LOVE TOUR, 2005 – 2006, dedicated to the trucking industry, is put together with all her theatre experience. Currently she performs her Love Tour concerts, sponsored by Rush Peterbilt, Travel Centers of America and Greenland Global Music, Mondays and Fridays at the TA/WEST in Ontario ca, one of the largest truck stops in our nation where she entertains the Highway Troops of this country. As for this audience, the truckers of America, Susanne says, “I love them, these men and women who sacrifice so much with their families, and work hard out there delivering everything we wear, eat and drink. They are honest, loving folks willing to give anyone “the shirt off their back.” I hope my music makes their journey find a few moments of peace and happiness.” “Love My Truck Driv’in Man” The Story… When I was little truckers used to stop in at our “Supper Club!” I have held a deep affection for these folks from that time forward. The Supper Club where I grew up was in” Southern” Minnesota about a half a mile from Highway 60 which even though it still to this day is an old two-lane highway, with the nearest town being three miles away on either side, it is the major runway to several towns in the whole south part of the state. Truckers have driven this road day and night for years to deliver to these little towns. Well, you might call them towns, population of around 300 – no, I left – 299 – they never did replace me – just kidding! I love these communities; they held my world and are always in my soul. But, the truckers would stop in at the supper club, sometimes staying overnight if they had a few drinks. My Grandpa and Grandma always had a bed for anyone needing to stay over. I loved singing and playing for these people, well all the people who came to our place. But truckers were really fun to be around. And, I loved hearing their stories, as did my Mom. The highway remains as one of the major roads to get to and from most of the towns in this area; Our Supper Club however, is now gone, but not its spirit… that lives in “ME!”. So, I decided that this CD and its songs would be dedicated to these wonderful hard-working people who deliver everything most of us eat, wear and own. I have many stories of their friendships to my family and me. These workers were always willing to lend a hand to strangers, my Mom and me, and just their loyal and kind hearts. I still enjoy every one of them I meet in my travels. PERSONAL STATISTICS! Height: 5’4” and one half! Weight: this one is a secret!!!!! Eyes: Blue! Hair: Blonde, as long as I use “L’Oreal.” I am engaged! - Big News! I was born on October 18 in “Southern” Minnesota, which has to be why I sing “Southern” music. Don’t you think? Sounds reasonable to me!!! I am an air sign!!! And even though I am not really into the “sign” stuff, I can tell you there is truth to it! I could live outdoors; I love fresh air; I love to fly; and I love to drive in the rain with the top down on the convertible. I just realized though that when it is raining it is probably not a good idea to ride around with the top down since the entire car gets soaked. That is so sad, as it is so fun! Anyway, I now live in “Southern” California in a beautiful “South (It’s true – it is called “South”) Forty” Country Home with lots of land. And, I am happy! Most of my life I lived in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the “city” as I call it, not being able to “get out.” My attitude was if I was in California then I should be in the city, or go back home to Minnesota. I longed for my world as a child, but life kept me out here where as “they” say, “The sun always shines.” Funny thing was I never realized that all I had to do was move to the suburbs of LA and I would be in the same environment as Minnesota, except for the rain and snow, which I actually miss the most. Anyway circumstances or destiny moved me to Ontario, California recently. The day I moved out of the city with the moving truck, all loaded up, you had to be there! Then I was led to move to Corona, even further “South” of LA, which led me to the love of my life, Michael. But when I moved into Corona; and I was like, “Wow, I am home”. This bedroom community is just like Minnesota, having the roots and family living style I have missed my whole life. I even have a garden like I did as a child! God has a journey for us. I believe!
