Injuries

Hi Everyone;
I would just like to know if anyone out there has had any problem with workman's Comp. Claims. I injured my back while unloading my truck. I was going home on a personal leave and was required by the company to unload the truck and turn it in. They wanted the truck right away so I couldn't wait for my daughter to come and pick me up. I was told to unload it and to put my things in the equipment managers office, where I could get it later on that night. Since I have a chronic condition that I take medication for I could not tell if I had an injury or if it was something that would go away. After about 2 weeks I called them up and told them that I had injured my back and was going on medical leave and I placed a workman's Comp. Claim. 1 week after I filed the claim I was terminated by the company. I have secured an attorney. She is sueing for Unlawful termination and to get my workman's Comp. Benefits. I have a permanent back injury which will probably require surgery. Is this a common occurance in the trucking industry?
