I'm still alive

I haven't been on here much lately because I haven't had much to talk about. I still don't but thought I would let people know I am still alive and doing my best to create as much hate and discontent as possible! I'm still looking for a job and things don't look good around here. If I want a driving job I may have to look at an out of state company. Up until now I have been avoiding that. It is too hard getting home. With the paper mill closings and cut backs, the unemployment rate is skyrocketing around here. Our marvelous government doesn't seem to care about jobs leaving the country and will soon be wondering where to get money to pay themselves.
I'll be going to the local technical college on Monday for a meeting with an advisor to discuss what course of study to take. Right now I'm leaning toward some business courses and some computer courses. I need to do something now to make a decent living. Just a high school diploma doesn't cut it anymore. When I graduated it was easy to get a mill job and make some damned good money. Now things are quite different. No degree basically equals very low pay. Even a degree doesn't guarantee a job nor a decent wage. But at least it improves the odds.
Going back to school is going to be tough since it has been 30 years since I've been in a classroom and had to do homework! Back then school wasn't very hard because we didn't have too long of breaks between school years and did it for 12 years.
