Just trucking along

Here I am on vacation since Tuesday afternoon and I'm still sober!! I may have to find a good head shrink and find out what's going on. We are in Omaha for a few days and waiting on the rest of the people to show up. The forcast is for it to get partly drunk tonite turning extremely hungover by morning. Tomorrow night is supposed to get mostly drunk with lots of BS flying. I'm currently sitting down by the lobby watching all the cowboys coming in.There is a rodeo in town this weekend and so there are lots of cowboy hats to be seen.
I'm still a bit nervous about this weekend. I'm not very good around groups of people. I prefer to sit in the background and watch what's going on. I'm told it is part of my depression and need to work on joining in on conversations and not worry about what people may think. Blogging is not a problem because I'm not face to face with anyone. I can sit in my own little world and type to my hearts content. I can also harass people like Lennut and VM because for 1, they have it coming and 2, I don't have to worry about personal contact.
There are alot of good things to say about computers and the web as well as alot of bad. There is alot less personal contact these days. Just send a fax or email instead of picking up the phone or actually going to see someone. But it is a very easy way to meet people from alot of different areas of the world. This weekend is a result of my wife going into a chat room more about 15 yrs ago. We have met people from all over the US and Canada. I have met some of the people at other get togethers.
