Hey VM, I hope you find that greener grass on the otherside of the fence. I'm sure it wasn't an easy choice to make. One thing for certain is it will take a little time to adjust to civilized hours!
The way you decided to stop blogging on here has me wondering if there is more to it than the boss tracking the trucks. With the price of fuel these days, companies need to do everything possible to save money. I guess it really doesn't bother me because I've had the technology on trucks for over 10 yrs. But then I'm never going anyplace that I would want to hide from the company and always find the best route from point A to point B. The different companies I have driven for over the yrs haven't babysat me like the big companies tend to do. As long as I get the job done and don't take the scenic route to do it, they don't say a word.
I hope you at least show up in the comments to harrass us once in awhile. I don't need it but I do enjoy the remarks!! I guess you will find out if the diesel is in your blood. I know it is in mine. That's why I never run out of fuel! If the tanks start running low I just have to cut myself and bleed into the tank. The truck runs great then!!! When I'm home for more than a couple of days, I get stir crazy.

Alright you guys, your resident smartass here! If I ever say something that somebody doesn't like, let me know. I won't appologize for what was said but I will remember what I said so that I can keep picking on you about it! What can I say,it's kind of hard to stop me. I may suffer from depression but I do enjoy giving people grief! A type of therapy I guess.
If I haven't picked on someone yet,don't fret it. I'll eventually get around to you. It's just that right now my favorite targets are VM and Lennut. It seems like they enjoy opening themselves up to smart remarks. I try not to say anything hurtful just being a smartass!
I think my wife is enjoying this blogging because then I'm not lipping off to her quite as much! She tends to get upset with me when I really get going on her! It took her a few years to get used to my family. We all tend to pick on people and she took a lot of the things personally for a long time. I had to keep telling her that they were just teasing her. Now she tries to keep up with us and generally doesn't fair to well. But at least she doesn't take the ribbing personally. We've been married for 22 yrs now and known each other for close to 30 yrs. So I think she has adjusted!
I'm hoping that I don't say something to get comments going like Lennut did. I must say that was fun and it did get a lot of things out in the open about how some of the non trucking public views trucks. The TV is very powerful at molding minds into a certain mind set.
