My experience in trucking!

Hey all!

[Comments] [Send Article] [Improper]

My roomate is asking if anyone knows a good company to take care of taxes, bills, or bookkeeping, etc. for an o/o trucker.

Well, things are going ok. Great day, yesterday, but, today was somewhat a dud. Didn't get any drive time, today, except for skills training on the course at the school lot. I'll have lots of time, tomorrow, anyway, I expect.

My plan is to get as much driving as I can Saturday and Tuesday, then, test on Wednesday. That'll leave me with Thursday, if I need to test, again.

I'll keep you folks posted. LORD bless!

If someone is going to be foolish enough to become an o/o they better join OOIDA and start asking them questions. They will know everything there is to know about owning a truck or leasing. Before he signs anything concerning leasing or buying a truck contact them.

Finding someone to do your bookkeeping, can be hard to do. They need to understand the trucking industy and what the owner operator needs and what it is that the Governemtn wants. Joining the OOIDA can help, but can be costly also. Someimes the best advise can come from someone within the industry who has been there many many years. But always keep your eys and ears open, and keep any and all paperwork, neatly and organized. It is amazed how making copies of all of you BL and Custom's documents (if applicable) can come in handy. Keep those wheels safely turning!
