It has been rumored that Legendary Texas Honky-Tonker Mike "Chula" Rodgers was spotted near Branson Mo. on October 2, 2004.
Eyewitnesses told of seeing him hugging on a 'prairie woman' and asking local people if there were any good honky tonk bands playing in the area.
Last seen getting into a ragtop Cadillac with a wink and a twinkle
in his eye, telling the driver to point it towards the Indian Nations 'cause he had a plane to catch'.
It is unknown whether 'Chula' did any honky tonking in the Ozarks
but it's rumored that he did break a few ladies hearts while in the area.
Still days later, women in tight jeans from Branson all the way to the Oklahoma state line were said to be looking west with a far away look in their eyes.
