I've been raised with American Pit Bull Terriers all my life, and I've never been bitten by one! But yet, Ive been bitten by Lab's and little ankler bitters such as Jack Russells. So before you start talking trash, get your facts right. Any dog can be bad, it comes down to the people who own them and how they were bred. As for Pit Bulls wanting to go after another dog, any damn dog will go after another dog. I wish there was a death penaltiy for people that are inhumane to animals!!! This is sad, it's never the animal... it's the owner. Dogs do things owners train it to do. There are many web-sites out there trying to save these wonderful dogs! People like you that are the ones who give the breed a bad name! You make up silly stories that aren't true!! I was attacked by a dog once... can you guess what it was?? It was a German Shepard, and yes it was the owners fault. I was delivering flyers door to door and as soon as the guy opened the door he had a hold of the dog and then just willingly let the dog go at me. All my life, I have had "dangerous" dogs, 2 rottweilers and now a pit bull. Let me tell you something...I lived about 2 blocks from a middle school and those stupid ass kids would harrass my rott every single day because she was behind a fence. She would bark when they teased her and even though she was highly capable to do so, she never jumped the fence and attacked anyone. Now I have a pit who is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. I have to keep her away from people because they are scared of her just because she is a pit. The only thing she wants is everyone's attention and to give kisses. Well guess what I've owned 3 pit bulls and all of them were sweet energetic and very good listeners. To be honest, it's human nature, I bet half of the idiots judging these pit bulls have kids and would be offended if I called their child dumb for letting curiosity takeover. It's like a 2 year old touching a pan, you can tell them it's hot, but they're going to touch it because curiosity is in everyone's blood. Now I say to you, if you're child see's a pretty skunk thinks it's a cat and gets sprayed I garuntee you that you're calling it an honest mistake because they are young. Animals are like children, they are curious to touch everything, including sharp, hot, or cold objects. Now from my experience I've seen more aggressive German Shepards, Chihuahuas, Poodles, and Yorkies than I have Pit Bulls. I hate the fact people bash "pit bulls" when 98% of them could not pick a so called"pit bull" out fo a line up of 20 dogs. Not to mention the media 87% of the time always mis identifies them. their scape goats i own 4 of them and never had a problem ever. and by pit bull i mean american stahposhire, so what they dont like smaller animals or other animals i beagles kill rabbits all the time what is the difference? there bred to hunt most dogs are! I had a pure bred red nosed pit, she took after her name, Baby. She was the most loveable dog I had ever had. She was very well behaved, a cuddle bug like you wouldn't believe. The problem that I have is that because of the breading purposes for fighting in the past, these dogs carry a bad rep. They are very well behaved dogs depending on who's raising them. You don't hear about other types of dogs attacking people or other animals. Thank about it. I was 6 years old and was attacked by a cocker spaniel. That devile dog left 3 huge scars on my face. I have a 1 year old son and Baby protects him like a mother would. I feel safe with my PIT BULL being around my child because she is his second mother and would do the same as I would do if someone was trying to hurt him. Get your head out of your ass and wake up and realize. Its not just a pit who has a bad rep, and not the ONLY breed that can turn. If a person is ignorant enough to beet the piss out of me, I would attack too!

Have you seen Open Season? You're the bad guy in it. Anyway, I got Duddley for x-mas who is a pure pit and he is the best dog I've ever had. He's barked only in his sleep and when he's excited for his dinner. He plays with multiple 2yr olds and younger of my friends and family. He sleeps with my cat, learned to sit, lay down and kiss in under 15 min at 4 months old, and has never acted up or displayed anything but a desire to please. He doesn't jump on people, eat unattended food, and if there's a croud, he finds my boyfriend or me and sits at our feet. My parents showed rotts and my mother worked at a vet clinic for 12 yrs and I've only seen a hand full of dogs naturally bad. None pits I might add. Why don't you read alittle about them on a recognized association for dogs and see if you're right? Or look up the results of the national dog temperment tests. How can you possibly display the American flag on this site. You don't know what it even means.

O.k i understand why some people feel uneasy around pit bulls but they are the most amazing dog when raised correctly , i have 4 pit bulls and none of them have ever showed any aggression to anything living or not. I used to think like alot of people that pit bulls were horrible vicious dogs. Our family has always loved dogs and had dogs. When our son wanted to get a pit bull I said NO! I was completely wrong. Andy adopted Kilo the cutest brindel pit and he is sweet and loving. He has never been aggressive or bit anyone. On day when Andy took Kilo to the dog park all the other dog owners went over to the corner of the park and stood there in a pack whispering (obviously because of Kilo). While Kilo stood by Andy's side one of the other dog owners dogs charged across the yard ran up to Kilo and began to aggressively shove Kilo. Kilo did not retaliate. After this altercation the owner of the other dog came up to Andy and told him "You know you have a loaded gun there" as he looked at Kilo. This man was ignorant just like I used to be. Our local dog shelter's director who has run the shelter for over 32 years told me her favorite beed is the pit bull. I am glad I am no longer ignorant. I love Kilo

i had 3 pitss and 4 kids and they all loved to pley you would find them laying under the tree asleep i just recently had 2 babies one is my 6 week old and the other is my 8 week old pit and the are both wonderful you couldnt ask for no better dog they sleep together and even though endo is just a puppy he still knows not to nibbel on his baby because that is his baby if there was a pit for every child then noone would ever have to worrie about child molesters or people abducting children no child would ever be hurt again my pits are my childrens gardind angels and i would not have it any other way they are so protective over my kids you are right they arnt like any other dog the are more protective then any other breed that i know of sure if you fight them or beat them they will be mean but wouldnt you i know i would everytime if pits could treat a person the way people treat them we would all have to fight to survive just like them i want this picture off this site i want to cry
