long cold night

Long? oh yeah. Cold? Very! Cant wait for all this snow to go away. Heading north again. Decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. Cant wait to get home into my own bed. I hate being gone more then a night or two but yah gotta do what yah gotta do. 15 yrs at this and many more to go I'm sure. I cant wait till I retire. HAH! Like many I'm sure Ill die doing this. Its in your blood. Like a race car driver you just cant seem to stop no matter how hard you try. Miss it when your not doing it and hate it when your gone. I'll hate this run even more when summer comes. Too many animals come out on the road. More hazards to watch for! Tonight I guess I'll just focus on the road. Catch some zzzzzzz's when I get to where Im going. Then its time to play the hurry up and wait game. "Supposed to have been there yesterday and want it delivered tomorrow" yeah yeah get right on that! Well food is gone and the road is waiting........night amanda.[/b]

What I like about trucking is your responsible for you, your load, and getting there on time. I like the independence about trucking. I like the simple command of pick up this load and drop by such and such time. I like getting paid listening to the radio seeing different things you wouldn't see sitting in a cubicle. I like being outdoors doing a job that most people have no clue of what we do everyday. Women most of all should love truckers the most because things don't appear magically on the shelf someone has to drive it there. 15 yrs! Go on girl! I've only been out here a little over 2 yrs. I feel ya on the hurry up and wait game. I think that is the story of my life. I've been to Canada quite a few times. Really nice up there. I just came back from Nova Scotia not too long ago. Very beautiful up there! Well, keep on truckin! and b safe!
