Lot Lizard

[Comments] [Send Article] [Improper]

She was a pretty young thing, I did like her smile,
I was flattered that she stopped to say hi,
In a short time I knew her profile,
Her a lot lizard, and me a big guy.

I do admit the temptation was strong,
Wild fantasies played in my mind,
What could be so horribly wrong,
If to each other we tried to be kind.

Please understand I am getting old,
And she really did peak my desire,
She might become a memory of gold,
She just might rekindle my fire.

Then I remembered Judy my wife,
Has it really been 20 some years,
She has been there through all of the strife,
Together we conquered our fears.

I looked at the girl with a different eye,
So pretty and so full of giving,
This was a girl only attempting to try,
To avoid the pain of going on living.

I know it’s judgmental to consider it such,
Otherwise though I would be so confused,
I’m sure it’s rare she feels a loving touch,
And more often is somewhat abused.

I bid her farewell, said thanks but I’ll pass,
She gave me a beautiful smile,
As she walked away not at all crass,
It’s was my wife’s phone that I did dial.

When I heard my wife’s voice I almost cried,
All the memories came cascading back,
I told her I loved her and with that I sighed,
Her love again had kept me on track.
