I am new at this, but here goes.
I hear everyone complaining about the price of fuel, and I understand why. Please don't get me wrong.
I feel as most that the present administraton, could do more to correct the problem.
But I also feel that both political parties and the American people as a whole are to blame.
No one wants a refinery in their back yard. But sooner or later, if we are to continue using oil as we do...we must build more refinerys. Even the Oil Minister of Saudi Arabia has been quoted as saying "Don't blame us...you have not built a refinery in 30 years."

Amen. The blame falls first on the politicians, then on the American people.Lets start drilling and refining our own crude. We have the resources.California,Texas,Oklahoma,Alaska and the Gulf to name a few.I cant remember the numbers but I've heard there is plenty of shale oil(highest quality)in the Rockys(per an autobio by Armand Hammer founder of Occidental). It's not that America doesnt want a refinery or rig in their backyard, the tree huggers don't want to tear down trees or displace a few moose or spotted owls.We have plenty of resources. It's time to exploit them and stop exploiting the American people.Politicians make me sick. They are killing the American dream.
