I had a comment from my last blog that impressed me very much. A commenter by the name of Kurt asked for my opinion on something rather than berating me for being foolish to think that a stupid truck driver could possibly have something pertinent to say. Thank you Kurt. We both have a lot of miles under our belts and it seems that maybe we can help each other rather than having to wear boxing gloves.
I know that I am constantly making comments about four wheel drivers but actually I don't think all of them are stupid or incompetent. Some of them are probably better drivers than I will ever be.
Both segments of the driving public have their bad apples and it makes it bad on the rest of us. I wish we could quarantine the Mario Andretti's of the car world and the "Smokey and the Bandit" of the truck driver world types to some third world country and leave the rest of us alone. We wouldn't have any problem getting along and coexisting on the highways.
Yes, I will probably keep cursing about the four wheelers but just know that it is a vent to keep myself from exploding in frustration. I will probably make sharp comments about them from time to time on my blog as I will thoughtless truck drivers.
I just wish that the law enforcement types would quit profiling us and singling us out. They are not allowed to use profiling in any other type of harassment. If they were to try that with blacks, hispanics, asians, arabic or any other person they would be castigated quickly and have to back off. They get away with it on us because the general public allows them to do to us what they won't allow to happen to themselves.
Otherwise everything is going good, I think.
Vaya con Dios, mis amigos. Hasta luego.
thanks

the problem, VM, is that the drivers know when they have a problem and they need to take steps to remedy it. I had one helluva major accident back in the 70's, before you were born that is. I almost killed an innocent highway worker because I dozed off under the steering wheel. I made a promise to myself and God that day. When I get sleepy I pull off the road and sleep. You and you alone control how you do something. What's more important, your or someone else's life, or making money? You can make more money, you can't bring a life back for any amount of money. I disagree with you about 90% of the truck drivers being better drivers than 4 wheel drivers. The number is not near that high simply because with the new auto shift trannies all they have to have is someone that can point and aim the truck. Look at some of the first class idiots behind the wheel and my point is made. Yep anything you buy is brought by a truck, agreed. I will continue to say that too.

Believe it,they do suck and that is the voice of experience hollering at ya. What I was saying is that these so-called drivers don't even have to learn how to back. All they have to do is learn how to push the accelerator and go straight ahead. If they run over someone during a turn so what, there are a hundred others just begging to a steering wheel aimer.
