Just thought I'd say thanks to you who have posted...

A little info about why I'm driven to drive...

My stepfather Charlie was a "Mothertrucker" He spent over 30 years on the road. He drove himself to the hospital in September of 2005 and found out he had the big"C". He passed at the end of the month.
Before that we used to talk daily about me being his second seat.
I spent the entire 1998 on the road with him, and have missed the road. GOD knows I miss him

I love the trucker lifestyle. Plus I can finally make some money!

(VM you forgot the DMs. Boy did Charlie tell me about those guys/gals.)

Yes I did forget about them...DM's can make or break you! I dispatch sometimes and its not very fun. Placing a load to a specific individual requires actualling knowing their strenghts and weaknesses. Its quite the headache actually and once you dispatch you have a new respect for those involved. VM-out!

Hey VM, I plan on making my DM's job easy... Follow the rules, thank them for the job they do, and never curse them. They are stressed too. Do unto others..... That's the way I was told by my Stepdad. Besides I worked as a limo driver and they are by far worse, yelling and screaming at you on the radio for all to hear. And then telling you off and telling you to sit for 22hrs(yes 22hrs a day) just to make a point to everyone else. No HOS there. Keep the rubber side down Krisko

Well scratch their back if they scratch yours and let them know what you will and won't do upfront. Its crucial that you develope a good relations with your dispatcher or else you'll be on the wrong side of the stick most of the time. VM-out!
