Budgeting On The Road

[Comments] [Send Article] [Improper]I am trying to imagine life on the road as a trucker and how much it would actually cost a week to survive out there as a company driver, obviously an owner operator is gonna have much higher expenses but a higher income. I visited a truck stop up here in Ontario (Fifth Wheel) and asked a few questions, and one of them was how much a shower costs?.... $7.00 and I noticed an all-you-can-eat buffet for $9.99 in the restaurant. The cashier said if I were to purchase 300 Litres or more of diesel I could shower for free. I'm thinking I'm looking at atleast $20 a day to survive out there which comes to about $600 approx. a month subtract the days for home time. Am I close to being correct? Would appreciate some feedback if anyone has time. Thanks
