Atlanta,Georgia Monday morning

Well we did not get unloaded early, Kroger would not even think about it, darn...

Oh well spent the night at the Petro in Atlanta hooked up to Idleaire http://www.idleaire.com
Watched some TV and took a shower finally cooked our first real meal in the microwave - Albacore tuna steaks, asparagus and new potatoes :)
the Tuna was a little Dry (buy it at Wal Mart in a sealed pouch) but overall it was excellent.

Sitting in the Dock Currently waiting for them to finish unloading me, then we will have another load

Georgia, Sunday Afternoon

Petra and I are driving near Augusta Georgia today

The weather is very nice, sunny 85 Degrees, few clouds...

Should be in Atlanta in an Hour and deliver this load of frozen chickens.

Don't know where we are off to yet but we should do pretty good revenue wise this week, fuel is a big factor, Prime has been doing a good job of keeping up with the fuel surcharge, we get what they guarrantee us but, there has been some question if they are completely honest in disclosing what they actually recieve... oh well if they want to keep their drivers going they will do the right thing.

Still waiting to see if we will be put on Hurricane relief duty i really would like to do my part to help.

for non drivers if you want to learn about some issues we go through you can tune to AM 700 WLW out of Cincinatti or XM Radio Channel 171 there are several excellent programs on XM that keep up with issues that affect truckers and eventually these issues will affect 4 Wheelers and the Typical Consumer.

Saturday :)

Ok It's Saturday, We Delivered the meat load in Abingdon,VA, Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA

We then Picked up a load at Perdue in Prince George, VA to go to Atlanta, on our way hopefully we can deliver early, the Appointment time is Monday at 0630 but this load does not pay good enough to sit on it that long.

Fuel Prices suck Paying $2.75 to $3.00 a gallon for fuel, the shippers expect us to eat this fuel i guess, well if you are not in the trucking industry expect everything to get more expensive, we cannot afford to keep eating these costs!

Well that's all for now

Yet a New Adventure today

Well, What a Day Yesterday!

Picked up the load from Kansas CIty, then we stopped for a short nap at the Petro in Kingdom City,MO...when we woke up our Fleet Manager asked us to pick up a different load (Meat) and leave the other one where we picked up the new one..

Well that was ok, so we picked the new load up at Tyson and proceeded
east to Virginia... now the fun part.

Petra went into the Missouri Scales at Forristel,MO on I-70 EB, well things were going ok till the red light came on and then that dreaded voice on the intercom

Driver, Pull around back, bring in all you paperwork,CDL's,Bills,Permits,Logbooks

Uh Oh, well turned out we didnt know it but the inside right rear trailer tire blew a sidewall out, the sidewall was facing inwards, i had checked the tire before we left Tyson and it was ok, so anyway we were shutdown for 5 hours waiting on the T/A Road Service to come replace the trailer tire...Petra was upset, it was her first trip around back, Tried to Calm her, and she is ok now.

Today we lost our A/C, man oh man it was hot, so stopped into the T/A in Knoxville (369 Exit) and had the compressor fixed as it was leaking, so we ate at Perkins, Did laundry, and Showered, now the A/C works well, going to see how it does in the day tomorrow..

Currently we are on I81 Near Bristol,TN going into our first stop early and get some rest, then off to eastern,va to deliver the rest

Ok thats all for now, also remember my AOLIM radaremtjcw
