Thanks for the comments, trucking together is something we still want to try, see if it works for us.

More questions, we don't plan on having a 'home' away from driving, sounds like for the most part we'll only be home a few days out of the month and we could rent a motel room for a cheaper cost per month. So my question is, are we aloud to take the truck with us for a couple of days when we are waiting to get back on the road? I would assume probably not, so are most stations close to public transportation?

Does anyone know if we'll be able to do our on-the-job training, after school, together? Or will be driving cross-country seperately?

Most companies are letting drivers take the truck home.I would suggest that you find some friends or family to stay with on days off. It's a safe bet that after a few weeks together in the truck you will not want to spend time in a motel in some strange area. You will want to take off with friends to get away from each other for a few hours. Being together 24 hrs a day,7 days a week will get both of you very testy with each other. Trust me,I know from experience.5 yrs of teaming with my wife put an extreme strain on our relationship. The one thing that always saved us is getting out of the truck for 2 days and do things with others all day. I would generally be out the door by 6am and go fishing and not see her again until 7 or 8pm. She would be off doing what ever she felt like doing all day. As far as training, the 2 of you will be trained seperately and then possibly be allowed to team together. Between school and over the road training it 3 to 6 weeks.
