Well we've discussed the ups and downs of trucking together as team and we're planning on going for it, trying it at least. The majority of our free time is spent together as is, either driving around in the car or hanging out talking in the house. We rarely go out on the weekends with others, maybe once every 6 weeks or so. (We aren't antisocial, just not real social) So we think possibly we have the right personalities for making this work, only trying will tell.
What do you like most about trucking? In training... do you get to chose you trainer, maybe based on preferences? Can you put a mircowave and small fridge in a truck? When dealing with seasoned truckers, should I expect cold faces or smiling ones (in general)?

Thanks for the comments, trucking together is something we still want to try, see if it works for us.
More questions, we don't plan on having a 'home' away from driving, sounds like for the most part we'll only be home a few days out of the month and we could rent a motel room for a cheaper cost per month. So my question is, are we aloud to take the truck with us for a couple of days when we are waiting to get back on the road? I would assume probably not, so are most stations close to public transportation?
Does anyone know if we'll be able to do our on-the-job training, after school, together? Or will be driving cross-country seperately?

Me and my fiance want to start team truck driving right after we get married this summer. After going to school and starting with a company, will we be able to do on-the-job training together? And is that training over-the-road or local, typically?
I've heard that legally a person isn't allowed to drive more than 10 hours in a 24 hour period, is that true?
How much can a new team driver reasonably expect to make in the first year?
Thanks!
