Heck - try driving for yourself. I did and it's working. i just got signed up with a company called TBO to handle all my load planing and back office stuff and they're keeping me busy. i think their website is truckersbackoffice.com. Good luck - hope this helps.

I WORKED FOR LANDSPAN FOR 5 YEARS... AND I KNOW ALL ABOUT THE SITTING AND WAITING... AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE YEAR IT ISNT BAD, YOU JUST GOT TO TAKE THE GOOD WITH THE BAD. LANDSPAN WAS OUR FINAL COMPANY, AND WISH WE HAD FOUND THEM SOONER... THE PAY WAS GREAT AND WE DID GOOD MILES.

We been with Landspan for almost 2 years now and all I been hearing how bad it is anymore. Let me tell you this, We love being with Landspan and the people are great. Yes you will sit from time to time but you will run your behind off. Even with the so called " Slow Season". We still average 6000-7000 miles a week and still make over 100 grand a year. For that kinda Money I will pt up with some BS. We are here to stay most def.Yes you will hear other driver complaining about everything but the money landspan pays .And most of the time those are teams who havent been here long enough to know.So at the end... landspan is a great company, end of story. thx

sweety, listen...my husband and I have only been with Landspan for 3 months. When we came over, we were eyeball deep in bills, and were being threatened with eviction. In the 3 months, we have caught up on all our bills, and have even gotten Christmas shopping started. If we hadn't come over here, we'd be on the street. Take it for what it's worth...stay or go--if you think you can do better, go for it. If not, enjoy the time off and get some laundry done.

We were told when we hired on freight was slow but to expect at least 4600 per week till freight picked up we could deal with that for a month. the last 5 days we have a total of 623 miles. I dont thank it could get any worst.

Landspan is not the company it was when we first started. If you are getting the miles, well more power to ya. We're lucky to do 8000 miles a month and most of the fleet will tell ya the same....

We joined LandSpan in January and it was frighteningly slow. Was told time and time again that it would pick up as the year went on. Well, it's April 15 and last week we barely cleared 3,000 miles. It's tuesday and we're stuck in Ripon, CA and haven't been dispatched in 4 days....Like one Landspan driver who's been sitting here also, you do have good weeks-but they're EVERY OTHER WEEK. 5,300 miles one week, 2,900 the next, 4,900 after that, 3,100 the forth and so on. You may make more cpm than at other companies, but if you aren't getting the miles, it's really aggravating. Some older teams have told us to "hang in there, it'll be worth it" while others were decrying that the company has gone downhill since Watkins sold Watkins LTL.. We've personally seen many teams with a long history in truck driving try working for LandSpan and then give up the ghost and quit after sitting for days and not making any money. We may be joining them soon. This is bizarre to me the amount of sitting. f

Heck no!!! Do NOT go to US XPRESS they don't care about their drivers at all!! They give you one good run to the east coast and run you around like solo drivers when you get there 500, 700, 900 mile runs for a team. Then send you to GA to sit and wait for carpet for 12-24 hours. I had it with them, especially when I found out my mom had a stroke and was in the hospital. Tried to call go transferred, hung up on, and voice mail...finally, sent an email thru the Qualcomm telling them I was going home and told them where to stick their truck! Couldn't even pay my bills...horrible.
