Friday, yeah!

I have been in the Transportation industry for 20 years, just found this site a couple months ago and thought I would start a blog.

Friday, Yeah! but not that great as am working tomorrow. Two of us are here every Saturday and on call for the weekend. Gotta check in the drivers, problem solve and issue those checks! If the drivers are working so are we!!!

Was a shipper before, now at a truck line/broker. Lotta fun working with all the drivers. Always looking for more owner/operators to add to the list! I've been an assitant for the last 6 months and now have my own lane NW to CA/AZ, I-5 & I-10 plus everything else was doing. Gotta say there is a lot more to this biz then meets the eye!
I'm glad to say I work for a great company, very nice people, great morals and integrity!

Thanks for the reply.. I am currently working in IRAQ . Liveing and working in Baghdad running from Baghdad to Kuwait for the Dept of Defense (US ARMY) . I plan to come back home in about a year or so . I've been over here for 18 months it's really different. I miss my truck ( that is at home ) and will be back in it as soon as my work is finished. I run open equipment ( flat step RGN ) never had the urge to do refer because of friends that did and had a lot of problems with people and warehouses n being forced to unload their own trailer. I am a driver!!! I drive if I wanted to unload for a liveing I would'nt have bought a truck !!! I would have been a lumper .. They make more money than me anyway!!!! Not to mention reefer loads are a pain. We used to do bananas NJ/TX (brokered) and they're so easy to ruin with the smallest temp. variations. DrDispatch Software http://www.drdispatch.com
