Trucking from the N.W.

It's been a slow week this week. Not much produce heading to AZ, CA or TX.
Trying to gear up to do the "dreaded" cold calling. I don't really dread it, but it is a pain to follow the maze to get to the right person to tell you No, we're happy with the carriers we have.

And why, does frozen freight ship so much cheaper then reefer loads? It costs more to haul!
Rates have been droppping and fuel is up from a year ago.

Hi,
We run about all reefers and haul a lot of fruit out of Washington.
Some Yogurt out of Oregon to the East coast, but not much of that right now.
We have an office in Portland, CA, NY & a new one opening in OH.
It helps to have options for getting you guys back out of wherever we send you!
Lots of guys sitting in McAllen right now, but its still a good place to go.
Its a bit slow right now but nursery stock is around the corner! Not to mention Cherries! Can't wait for that!!!!

I have been in the Transportation industry for 20 years, just found this site a couple months ago and thought I would start a blog.

Friday, Yeah! but not that great as am working tomorrow. Two of us are here every Saturday and on call for the weekend. Gotta check in the drivers, problem solve and issue those checks! If the drivers are working so are we!!!

Was a shipper before, now at a truck line/broker. Lotta fun working with all the drivers. Always looking for more owner/operators to add to the list! I've been an assitant for the last 6 months and now have my own lane NW to CA/AZ, I-5 & I-10 plus everything else was doing. Gotta say there is a lot more to this biz then meets the eye!
I'm glad to say I work for a great company, very nice people, great morals and integrity!
