What realy makes it rough out on the road is the fact that alot of todays police force is made up of a bunch of youngins. Now i remember when I was 22 23 yrs old I thought I knew everything about everything. And add to the fact I realy did'nt know nothing
made it worse. Add a badge and a little athority to it than well
you get the picture. I have heard stories about drivers getting shafted and I have heard stories about how they were cut a break.
Usualy it was cut by some officer who was older and more mature.
I think there should be a age limit on what age you can become a police officer. The simple fact is I have seen the youngins drive twice as bad as anyone on the road. Mainly exceding the speed limit sometimes over 25 or 30 mph in order to catch some one who was going only 5 mph over or who didnt have a seat belt on. Looks like it is breaking the law in order to inforce the law. As drivers we are looked upon to be professionals and are judged accordingly. Shouldnt the law be judged the same or does the badge
make you exempt.

Several things come to mind about being on the road that makes you want to just hang it up and do somthing else. One thing that comes to mind is how you are treated on the road and on the yard. A driver knows every twitch every rattle that goes on with they're equipment. They also know when somthing is not right. I had the luxury of being told by the shop mechanic that I didn't know what I was talking about when it came to the mechanics of my truck. Now after blowing fuses left and right and watching my amp gauge peg over to 14 1/2 volts it is pretty easy to know you have a altenator going bad. Oh its a brand new one can't be bad, you have a bad ground some where. So after waiting 2 days while they fixed my truck I was finaly out steering and a gearing again.. Only to get out in the middle of no where and loose power to everything at 2 am in the morning. And after the service guy came replaced relays and fuses and a altenator i was back on the road again After costing the company $476.00....
Imagine that
