Going to CREngland

Well yesterday I called CR cause I put an application in with them and they told me to call them on Monday cause they were full for the week and they are going to put me on the Oct. 2 class. Well this sounds like a very good opportunity. They said that they would pay for everything but food. I think this is the best thing I did. If you have any feedback let me know. From what I have heard and read about CR they are a very good company.

Be very careful about what you do there. I don't know what the training program is like but everything is not paid for. You will be working for an extremely low pay for the first year or more and if you quit before that time you will recieve a rather large bill from them to cover the cost of the schooling. Like most all companies that offer free training,if you quit before a certain date they will want the bill paid immediately and may even go directly to a collection agency. CR England also pushes thier lease program and many drivers have been badly burned by it. So be extremely careful and make sure you read all the paperwork before signing anything. Don't take thier word on what it says. I'm pretty sure you will find something in writing about paying them for the training if you leave before a certain amount of time.

I agree with Roadhzrd 190% all these large companies are the same. They say, free-training-good pay. If there is two things in life I have learned the hard way is that 1.Nothing is Free 2.People can't keep their mouths shut. Everything they tell you is a half-truth that comes with strings. For example in my not so "Swift" days they said if you run X-miles during CHRISTmas season than you will recieve a bonus. So me and my partner did the milage and it took me four months of fighting tooth and nail to recieve what they promised. I get an erection everytime I can now tell people how crooked SWIFT is. Luckily I went through an independent school to get my CDL so when I threw my keys at them and told them to "Keep your FU##### Truck!" I didn't owe them a cent. I'll stop now before I really get upset. Even though its been almost four years now I won't forget what a bunch of crooks Swift are. VM-out!!!
