CITY DRIVING WITH STUDENTS

HI AGIN. JUST LETTING U KNOW STUDENTS AND CITY DRIVING IS A INTRESTING COMBINATION. I THINK BACK TO WHEN I FIRST LEARNED HOW TO DRIVE. I WAS SCARED TO DEATH AND IM SURE THE TRAINER WAS TO. HE PUTS HIS LIFE IN THEIR HANDS EVERYTIME HE GETS INTO A TK WITH ANEW DRIVER. IVE DONE IT ONCE AND HAD THE PERSON PULL OVER BEFORE WE GOT A MILE AND TOOK OVER. IM NOT BLESSED WITH THIS ABILITY TO TEACH NEW DRIVERS. MY HATS OFF TO THOSE WHO CAN. PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR THEM AND GIVE THEM PLENTY OF ROOM. THEIR JUST LEARNING AND SOME OF THEM MAYBE OK IN A FEW YEARS. JUST REMBER U WERE ONE IN THE BEGENING TO. ANGEL

Thanks for the good words from all the trainers out here. You're right, trainers do have to risk more than other drivers, and it isn't always easy to train someone else to do what drivers do. Keep up the good work and stay positive. We need more people like you out here. Franc

I have trained people straight out of truck school and it is downright scary. Some people have no business driving a truck at all. Of the people I have trained I have flunked about 20% of the new drivers. Its hard to say "This guy aint gonna work out!" But you gotta do what you gotta do. I remember when I was a rookie and how scared I was but now I can drive a truck better than a car. Vaqueromuerto Out...
